If I was a rich girl...

Oh, the things we'd buy! One of them might just be this stunning necklace by Italian designer, Ziio. It is somewhat reminiscent of one of those fantastic collars worn by the Egyptian pharaohs. This piece though is made up of Murano glass and semi-precious stones. Divine!

Alex Monroe's New Collection!

We are huge fans of London-based jewelry designer Alex Monroe. He's currently showing at London Fashion Week and just shared a sneak-peek of his new collection on his blog and Facebook page.

The new collection is inspired by the tale of the Peacock and the Crow. In Alex Monroe's interpretation, the peacock pieces are shown in gold whereas the crow pieces have been plated in Ruthenium giving them a slick black finish. The pairing of the two creates a really striking statement. We cannot wait for these items to hit his online store and those of his many stockists in June.

It's all Greek to me in Vancouver

When you think of Vancouver these days, you think of the Winter Olympics, right? Well, not us. No, instead we're thinking of Pyrrha, an exciting Vancouver-based jewelry design duo that take their name from the ancient Greek myth of Deucalion and Pyrrha. Pyrrha's unique pieces are based on 19th-century wax seals and as such each piece has both historic and symbolic meaning. We already have a few pieces ourselves such as the Love Conquers All pendant below, and we're currently coveting pieces from the Intaglios collection (also below). They've just revamped their website, www.pyrrha.com and it's really fab. Definitely check it out.
